Seniors are provided with an Alexa unit that offers a simple, accessible and easy-to-use solution for them to stay connected.
Our Team
Karim Kaba, Co-Founder
Karim has been volunteering both in a personal and professional capacity throughout his life. His recent volunteer experience was with the Generations project where he played a key role in the design, construction and commissioning phases of a 120-bed long-term care facility in Calgary.
In 2020, Karim was recognized as a Suncares Change Maker for his continuous support of the Generations project. In addition to his current portfolio, Karim is embarking on a new initiative that brings existing technology to seniors in Alberta in hopes of alleviating social isolation and loneliness, which have been exacerbated during the pandemic.
Raian Kaba, Co-Founder
Raian is currently pursuing a Bachelors of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Throughout his life, Raian has volunteered for many initiatives, both locally and internationally. He has worked with Engineers Without Borders in Uganda, and has spent time volunteering in Pakistan as part of an international service-learning programme.
At the local level, Raian has taught basic computer literacy to seniors, managed a tutoring program for nearly 100 students, and has been a member of various community-service initiatives in his university. Raian hopes technology4seniors can help older adults become more comfortable with technology, and use technology as a way to stay connected with their loved ones, especially during these times of social isolation

Balwinder Farmahan is an accomplished financial leader and a successful entrepreneur with a passion for serving others for the greater good of his communities. Balwinder is known for his commitment, compassion and willingness to challenge the status quo. He is agile and recognizes when to be a responder, a challenger, an architect and a transformer to guide organizations.
